I'm back from the grueling heat of the Nevada desert and I've come home with more then sand in my shoes. Last week at my first Burning Man I was lucky enough to share a camp with Ashley Teifert, an up-and-coming designer who specializes in recycled apparel. Ashley has a way of fashioning old clothes and fabrics into cute contemperary dresses and comfy street wear that inspire smiles and good vibes. Ashely was sweet enough to share some yummy organic meals with me, and let me sport some of her hand made designer duds. If you love her clothes as much as I do, drop her a line at teifaleaf@aol.com.
Ashley's Latest Collection, she calls this look Tribal Couture.

Dear Green This Town authors,
We would like to invite you and your readers to a healthy and historic event celebrating St. Anthony’s 58th anniversary, and the opening of its new Green Direct Services Building. There will be hors d'oeuvres and beverages provided by sustainably minded food purveyors such as Green’s, Perbacco, Serpentine, Farmer Brown, Alive!, and Numi Tea. Building tours will take place after a brief dedication ceremony with local dignitaries and St. Anthony’s program participants serving as key speakers.
For 57 years St. Anthony Foundation has helped heal individuals and families by providing free, life sustaining support. Programs offer gateways to escaping poverty by addressing immediate needs such as hunger and housing, and as well as long term needs such as drug and alcohol recovery, employment and healthcare. St. Anthony Foundation does not accept any federal, state, or local government money, and is entirely funded by private donations.
The new service center is home to a new Employment Program and Tech Lab, Free Medical Clinic, Social Work Center, and Volunteer Center.
