Great article in the SF Chronicle. If you are in anywhere around Santa Rosa Junior College you can get in class training from Mark Armstrong. Teaching all sorts of folks to to build alternative fuel cars. Not just bio-diesels either, electric, alcohol, wine, corn.
His approach is to use what is within your community already. There has been so many different ways to run a car already, you just need to match what is available in your area to the car you will buy or build.
